Rolatube portable mast system components - rolled mast tube, base plate, guy ropes and ground stakes

Lightweight, Portable Mast Systems by Rolatube

Portable antenna, camera and lighting masts from 2m to 10m – deployed and rigid in minutes.

Class-leading strength-to-weight: up to 23kg of payload from a 5.8kg mast.

Rolatube mast systems use patented Bi-stable Reeled Composite (BRC) technology – a mast tube that rolls up for transport and deploys into a fully rigid, load-bearing mast. A true deployable mast that rolls back down just as easily.

No telescopic sections to jam.

No heavy steel towers.

Just lightweight, temporary masts that put your equipment at height, wherever you need it.

Strength & Durability

Strength Where It Counts: Real Payloads, Lightweight Masts

No mast this light and compact carries more. Rolatube’s BRC mast tubes deploy into a rigid, stable mast load-rated for real payloads – antennas, cameras, floodlights, sensors – from a kit that travels in the back of a vehicle or on your back.

A fixed tower or trailer mast will always win on absolute load – but you can’t carry one across a site, take it up a stairwell or have it standing in minutes. If you need a portable mast that puts serious equipment at height – deployable mast capability at a fraction of the weight – nothing else comes close. And with no telescopic sections, hydraulics or winches, there is nothing to jam, seize or fail: durable by design, with almost nothing to maintain.

Antenna Masts for Radio, Telecoms & Wi-Fi

Rolatube antenna masts put radios, integrated antenna units and Wi-Fi access points exactly where they need to be – from a 2m Wi-Fi mast on a site cabin to a 7m communication mast in open country, or a vehicle-mounted 4G antenna on the move.

Where a permanent telecom mast is overkill, a temporary antenna mast system deploys in minutes, carries up to 23kg of communications equipment, and rolls away when the job is done.

Camera Masts for CCTV, Surveillance & Security

A Rolatube camera mast puts CCTV, thermal imaging and inspection cameras at height without towers or scaffold – a temporary security mast for construction sites, events and critical infrastructure.

The System 75 Double Tube carries up to 23kg of camera and surveillance equipment, and the whole surveillance mast packs into the back of any vehicle, ready to redeploy at the next site.

Lighting Masts for Sites & Events

Rolatube lighting masts raise floodlights and temporary site lighting in minutes – no tower hire, no trailer, no generator-dragging fuel runs to a fixed lighting rig.

From a single floodlight on a System 50 to heavier lighting rigs on the System 75 Double Tube, it’s a portable lighting mast one person can carry, deploy and move around the site as the work moves.

Temporary & Deployable Masts, Anywhere

Every Rolatube system is a true deployable mast: rolled out, guyed and working in minutes, then recovered just as fast. Ideal wherever a temporary mast beats permanent infrastructure.

Emergency response, outdoor events, short-term monitoring, seasonal works – put equipment at height for a day, a week or a season, then take the mast with you to the next job.

The Difference

Why Rolatube Masts?

01

Exceptional Strength to Weight

Up to 23kg of payload from a 5.8kg mast – serious load capacity from lightweight mast systems a fraction of the weight of traditional alternatives.

02

Incredibly Compact

The mast tube rolls up for transport, so every system packs down to a fraction of its deployed height – rucksacks for the small systems, one vehicle for the lot.

03

Ready in Minutes

No complex assembly. No telescopic sections to jam. Masts deploy from their packed state and are ready to use in minutes – and recover just as fast.

04

No Moving Parts

Virtually maintenance-free. No hydraulics, no pneumatics, no mechanical joints to service or replace.

05

Built for the Weather

All systems withstand winds of 100kph (62mph) when correctly deployed. Weather-resistant and recoverable when iced.

06

One-Person Portable

System 50 and System 75 masts are carried and deployed by a single person. Even the 10m System 100 needs only 2-4 people – no crane, no trailer, no vehicle access to the deployment point.

Case Study

Maritime & Coastguard Agency

When coastguard teams deploy across cliff paths, beaches and headlands that vehicles can’t reach, their equipment has to be carried in on foot and set up fast – in any weather. The MCA use a modular Rolatube kit, built around the System 75 5m mast and System 50 2m tripod, for frontline operations, training and public demonstrations.

  • Reduced weight and pack size compared to telescopic alternatives
  • One modular system – from standalone tripod to fully extended 5m mast
  • No moving parts to seize – ready for short-notice response

Questions

Mast FAQs

Can I use a Rolatube mast as an antenna mast?

Yes – antenna masts are one of the most common uses. From small antennas and Wi-Fi access points on a System 50 to radios, integrated antennas and 4G/5G small cells on the System 75 range, a Rolatube antenna mast system deploys in minutes and carries up to 23kg of communications equipment. Contact us to check fitting for your antenna.

How tall do the masts go?

From 2m to 10m. System 50 covers 2-4m, System 75 covers 3-7m in single and double tube versions, and System 100 reaches 8m and 10m – all from packs portable enough to carry to the deployment point by hand.

Can they carry CCTV and security cameras?

Yes. The System 75 Double Tube is the camera mast of the range, carrying up to 23kg – enough for CCTV, thermal imaging and larger camera systems. It’s widely used as a temporary security and surveillance mast on construction sites, at events and around critical infrastructure.

How quickly can a mast be deployed?

Minutes. The mast tube rolls out from its packed state into a fully rigid mast with no assembly and no telescopic sections – and recovery is just as fast, which is what makes them ideal as temporary, redeployable masts.

How much wind can they take?

All systems withstand winds of 100kph (62mph) when correctly deployed and guyed. They are weather-resistant and recoverable even when iced.

How portable are they really?

The System 50 2m mast weighs just 2kg and fits in a rucksack. Most of the range is carried and deployed by one person; even the 10m System 100 needs only 2-4 people and no vehicle access to the deployment point.
