Because our Bi-stable Reeled Composites provide unique solutions to engineers, we constantly receive enquiries regarding the use of our products in new applications.
In some applications we have an existing product that can be repurposed to the new application, but in other cases we have to look at a completely new composite design.
Our composites offer a wide range of potential material combinations in order to create the right product performance, and we are experienced in developing products for customers on a Special Projects basis.
We look to offer our Special Project clients commercial protection for the use of BRC’s in their applications.

Our Special Project clients include Boeing, Westinghouse, BNF, SNCF, Arriva, Raytheon, Surrey Space Centre to mention just a few. Where technically and commercially viable, we undertake projects from a diverse range of markets.
How Special Projects are Managed
Special Projects occur when a customer realises that our Bi-stable Reeled Composite technology can solve their technical challenges, or provides a competitive advantage for their products in the sector they serve.
The first stage is a technical and commercial evaluation of the requirement, frequently under an NDA.
If the requirement can be met using our technology, we would then recommend a project plan to develop prototype systems for testing and validation by the customer.
Once a product is fully validated and signed off by the customer, we would then move to the commercialisation of the project.
Commercialisation will frequently involve an exclusivity arrangement for the customers particular application.
