Introducing Rolalight: Revolutionary Rolatube Lighting Technology

Rolatube will be unveiling a concept demonstrator of Rolalight at Light & Building 2026, taking place from 8th to the 13th March at Messe Frankfurt. You can find us on Stand 4.1 J61, where you can discover the concept for this revolutionary lighting technology.

What is Rolalight?

Rolalight is a new lighting concept that integrates LED technology directly into the Rolatube composite, creating a plug-and-play structural lighting system that simply requires connection to a power source.

The result is a highly compact, portable solution designed to deliver rapid elevated illumination wherever temporary lighting is required.

The system is highly flexible in format and configuration. Rolalight can provide either directional or 360° lighting, deployed either vertically or horizontally, and can be produced with LEDs in various colours, including infrared (IR).

Beyond static lighting, the technology has the potential to be programmed to display words, symbols, arrows, or shapes, opening up opportunities for both functional lighting and visual communication.

Designed for Temporary and Mobile Environments

Rolalight has been developed with applications where speed, portability, and adaptability are critical. Potential use cases include:

  • Emergency and incident response lighting
  • Illumination inside tents and temporary structures
  • Wayfinding and visual signalling
  • Temporary workspaces and mobile operations
  • Outdoor events

As with all Rolatube technologies, the concept prioritises a lightweight, compact form factor for easy transport, fast deployment, and robust construction.

Rolalight is ready for commercialisation, and Rolatube is now seeking OEM partners to collaborate on the adoption of this exciting technology into their products.
