INTEGRATED ANTENNA MAST
The 7m Integrated Antenna Mast (IAM) is a unique tactical radio communications mast suitable for dismounted troops. The IAM body is manufactured from a lightweight and strong rollable composite, with a high gain dipole antenna embedded into the composite construction at the top of the mast.
The mast is deployed and then simply connected to the radio via the supplied connection cables, enabling immediate communications. Because there is no requirement for carrying or mounting a separate antenna system, the mast is Capable of being deployed by two personnel in under 5 minutes.
The 7m IAM extends the benefits of Rolatube’s IAM technology to Forward Operating Base or mobile tactical installations by allowing them to quickly access communications infrastructure in challenging environments and scenarios.
The 7m IAM is highly compact and lightweight with a total system weight from just 7.2kg (15.9lb) and a packed volume of only 250mm x 320mm x 260mm (10” x 12.5” x 10″) approx.
Because it is made from non-conducting materials, this unique tactical communications mast ensures there is no conductivity or signal loss when in contact with grounded objects. The high efficiency of the integrated omni-directional antenna delivers significant increases in range capability and performance for VOR communications compared to traditional equipment.
The system’s capability can be further enhanced with the addition of other lightweight antenna, for example a lightweight HF wire antenna, thus bringing UHF, VHF and HF frequencies to the one, lightweight, quick-to-deploy system. L Band antennas have frequently been mounted as an accessory providing data and voice capability is one highly compact portable system.
SYSTEM IAM 7m is available in three versions: VHF, UHF and Dual Band ( both UHF and VHF). 3.5m versions are also available in 30 – 300MHz and 136-470MHz
