Rolatube at SOFEX 2026
SOFEX returns to Aqaba from the 27th to the 29th of October 2026, drawing the special operations community from the Middle East and partner nations to the Aqaba International Exhibition Centre. The exhibition and conference runs alongside MESOC, the Middle East Special Operations Commanders Conference, and brings together operational leaders, programme managers, defence attachés, and tactical equipment suppliers.
The Rolatube team will be visiting throughout the event, meeting operators and commanders to discuss how portable mast and tripod systems built on Bi-stable Reeled Composite (BRC) technology can support special operations tasking.
Mast and Antenna Kit That Travels in a Pack
For a special operations team, the question is rarely whether portable infrastructure is useful. It is whether the infrastructure can be carried in alongside everything else, deployed in minutes, and relied on after months in storage.
BRC is Rolatube’s answer to all three. The composite is engineered to hold two stable shapes: a compact roll for transport, and a rigid, load-bearing tube when deployed. Rolatube holds the patents on both the material and the products that use it.
The products that come out of the technology fit a dismounted team. A 3-metre System 75 Military mast carries antennas or sensors of up to 11kg at a system weight of 4kg, packed into a soft bag of 250 x 320 x 260mm. The 7-metre Integrated Antenna Mast carries a VHF dipole embedded directly within the composite, pulling 30 to 88MHz coverage out of 7.2kg of total weight with no separate antenna to assemble at height. The System 30 Compact Tactical Tripod carries up to 40kg of payload at 3.2kg of system weight, with multicam leg covers and an optional Leg Tie for heavier loads.
None of these systems need maintenance between deployments. Rolatube products meet the relevant sections of MIL-STD-810G, and the range is in service with NATO and partner-force special operations units for communications, ISR, and rapid deployment.
