The system is rated to the load stated. The end user is responsible for ensuring the loads are securely fastened. Rolatube Technology does not accept liability or provide warranty for usage deviating from the enclosed instructions.
- Before deploying the mast and system please read all warnings below.
- Avoid contact with heavy and sharp objects, in storage do not stack anything on top of Rolatubes.
- Do not use the mast if there is visible damage.
- The end user must assess the suitability of the ground pegs provided for the intended deployment environment, and replace with more suitable products if necessary.
- Rolatube mast systems are rated for wind speeds of up to 100kph (62mph). The maximum wind rating is based on the bare mast correctly deployed and guyed. The end user or system integrator is responsible for ensuring the system is safe with the top load mounted.
- Ensure the deployment site is clear of any cables or equipment that represents an electric shock hazard.
- Do not deploy near power lines, in thunderstorms or winds exceeding 100kph (62mph).
- Do not exceed the rated top load of the mast.
- Ensure any top load is securely fastened.
- Do not allow the mast to bend.
- Ensure the deployment site is clear of any underground hazards before using ground pegs.
- Ensure guy ropes and ground pegs are secure for duration of deployment.
- Consideration must be given to the location of any cable from the top load to avoid trip hazards.
- Consideration must be given when deploying in proximity to an aircraft landing site for aircraft movement.
- Rolatube masts are only designed to function in the vertical axis.
Unroll & Combine Tubes
Unroll the two masts, lie them facing slot to slot and push the 3.5m IAM tube slot over the slot of the other tube, so the IAM is wrapped around the other tube.
Feed Coax & Attach Extender Mount
Feed the coaxial cable from the IAM/Insert assembly through the centre openings of both the top and bottom sections of the Extender Mount. Slide both sections onto the IAM/Insert. Ensure the IAM/Insert is properly seated in the bottom section of the mount, with the coax cable exiting through its centre. The cord between the two sections of the Extender Mount should be straight.
Attach Velcro Straps
Attach the velcro straps equally spaced along the 3.5m IAM as shown.
Deploy System 100 Rolacage
Secure your System 100 Rolacage where the mast is to be deployed, and position the guy ropes and pegs as per the System 100 User Guide. Commence deployment until you have c.1m of the System 100 mast vertically unrolled.
Lift IAM Structure to Vertical
Carefully lift the IAM/insert/mount structure, walking it to vertical to ensure it receives support.
Lower into System 100 Mast
With the cuff open, lower the IAM/insert/mount structure through the top of the System 100 mast until the top cap is secure.
Secure Mount Cuff
Unroll the System 100 mast until the mount cuff can be secured.
Continue System 100 Deployment
Continue deployment of the System 100 mast as per the System 100 User Guide, ensuring the mast and IAM/insert/mount structure are stable and vertical at all times.
